Museum Lambert van Meerten shows a diversity of paintings. Most of the paintings that originally belonged to the collection of Van Meerten were sold at auction in 1902 after his bankruptcy.
Donation
Nowadays, the majority of the paintings that is on display in the museum belongs to the collection of portraits of the Dutch family d’Ablaing van Giessenburg. These portraits were donated to the museum
in 1918.
